Jessica & Zach's "Something Blue" Wedding | Summer Crush Winery | Fort Pierce Wedding Photographer

I am so excited to finally be able to share one of the most amazing weddings I have had the opportunity to shoot! Jessica and Zach are the most relaxed, creative, and kind hearted people that I know. Their wedding day had so much class, so many sweet customized details, and completely spoke to who they are together.

The stall on blogging? Jessica submitted her wedding over to Wedding Chicks for publication, and they published her wedding day on their blog! We didn't want any peeks getting out of their Wedding gallery until they published it first.

Jessica and I met at a bridal show over a year ago now, and when I met her, I knew our styled lined up. When I had my consultation with her, I knew she would have an amazing wedding day in just hearing all her details, and when I shot her engagement session, I hoped we would be able to become good friends.

Jessica had her big day planned out to a Tee. She had everything in order, organized, and a timeline that was so thought out, that I often send it over to current client's to use as inspiration for their timeline! Her wedding Ceremony and reception took place over at the Summer Crush Winery in Fort Pierce, Florida, It was an absolute gorgeous day, the sun was shinning, and everything went smoothly, of course I am sure it was due to that amazing timeline.

Here are a few peeks from their big day!

Wedding Day Timeline | Florida Wedding Photographer | Treasure Coast Photographer | Port Saint Lucie Photographer

I get it. You don't want to stress on the big day about being punctual for the biggest day of your life. I mean, it takes time for hair and makeup and then your there with all your family and you might be seeing family members you haven't seen in years and then things take longer when you add all that up. Trust me, I am the queen of "going with the flow". However, this one time, I am a stickler for for time, I need a timeline and I need you to follow it! If you do this one thing, it will set your day up for success.

I have had a few brides where the time came for  a timeline, they gave me a few things that are happening around a certain time and then they say they just want to go with the flow or they aren't mindful on the day of about time and then it leaves us with no time to take bridal portraits.

Wedding's run late. All the wedding's that I have been to, almost always run late. The few that haven't, is because the bride was a stickler for their timeline. They were meticulous in the planning process and created a bullet proof timeline that even had wiggle room. They ASSUMED their guests would be late, they ASSUMED their hair and makeup would take longer and so they took all these things into account and created a timeline to ensure, that they had time for the MOST important thing on your wedding day. THE BRIDE AND GROOM PORTRAITS.

There are a lot of ways you can cut costs on a wedding day but having a good photographer shouldn't be it. But that's for a different post. The point of this post, is your timeline. You spend so much money on this big day and your awesome photographer will capture every single moment and every single detail. If you put money into, I am capturing it. I am looking for things that are engraved, I am shooting your dress, I am shooting the rings, and I am even shooting your wedding invitation if you leave one out for me! All the months of details I am capturing and when you leave me with time to do it, I can ensure that I can get it all done. A timeline helps me with this to. I want to be able to capture the work into your reception area before the guests arrive and start sitting. I want to be able to capture your beautiful dinner tables before your guests sit down to eat.

Sometimes a bride is running late and time starts running into portrait time and the bride and groom are insistent on taking pictures with all their guests and then that leaves no room for the bride and groom alone. They want to take a picture with Aunt Sally, and Uncle bob, and cousin Mary who flew all the way in from Utah just for the big day, and I get it. These people are here to celebrate you and you want to show your appreciation but there is SO MUCH time during the reception to stop by tables and take pictures with your guests, there is so much time after dinner to go around and ask your guests to take a picture with you. I know there is a lot going on but I also will ask you before I leave if you want to take any pictures with guests, and at that time you can grab people and take pictures with them.

Your timeline is IMPORTANT. It let's all your vendors know what's going on next and tells me where I need to be and when I need to be there. Once my brides book with me, they receive a timeline sample but it's just general guidelines. Take the time to remember your timeline. Give one to all your vendors. Be mindful on the day of with your timeline. Set alarms on your phone if you have to. Don't miss out on AMAZING pictures with your groom because you didn't have the time!
